GENYK BOREAL NATURE, is an environmentally friendly, high performance, closed cell rigid polyurethane foam used for insulation, and is spray applied exclusively by certified applicators. GENYK BOREAL NATURE is fully self-adhered to the substrate, which helps make your building physically much stronger.

We offer 2 types of spray foam depending on the useage and budget:

• two-pound closed-cell foam is a higher density which acts as a unique air and moisture barrier. Closed-cell foam is the highest-R-value insulation material available, at up to R6 per inch (the higher the R value of a material, greater resistance to the leakage of air or water vapor.
• half-pound open-cell foam is used for insulating interior walls and could be better than fibreglass batts

  

Why Spray Foam?

1. Spray polyurethane foam elliminates air infiltration, drastically reducing year round HVAC costs. Monthly energy and utility savings of 40% or greater can be achieved when compared to the alternative roofing and insulation systems.
2. Spray 1/2 lb foam provides superior sound proofing and can be used in exterior walls and ceilings as long as there's a HVAC system in the house.
3. An improperly insulated home is more prone to moisture buildup in walls. This moisture is what allows different varieties of molds to grow.
4. The tight seal that spray polyurethane foam provides is without a doubt the most effective way to prevent mold from ever growing in the first place.
5. SPF keeps moisture out - the cause of harmful mold and mildew
6. SPF is made from liquid elements, which when combined expand 20 to 30 times

Research shows that 40% of building heat loss can be attributed to air leakage conducted through the building envelope. GENYK BOREAL NATURE insulation exceeds 500 times the requirements of the National Building Code (NBC) as an air barrier material. By creating a sealed air barrier and eliminating air exfiltration, GENYK BOREAL NATUREA does not allow wall condensation that can often result in mold, mildew and wall degradation. Its closed cell rigid polyurethane foam formulation creates an effective, rigid, seamless and durable air barrier.

GENYK BOREAL NATURE water vapour permeance rate is below the maximum National Building Code (NBC) requirements for water vapour permeance (the speed which water goes through homogenous material). When a building envelope assembly contains only a plastic foam as insulating material, GENYK BOREAL NATURE, this assembly does not need any additional vapour barrier. With one ecological insulation material you get 3 essential properties for a high efficiency building envelope in a single application; you increase the thermal performance of the building envelope; and you reduce the construction costs of the project and its energy consumption.
